Our Company was founded in 2004 by a doctor, an internet professional and a health care attorney. We realized that the "best doctor" for one patient may not be the best doctor for a different patient even though they have the same health problem. We understand how difficult it is to choose a new doctor when you are new to the area or your trusted family doctor retires. Most health care web sites and insurance company provider lists just give you names and phone numbers. It’s difficult to answer the question, "Who is the best doctor for me and my family?"
We sought to use the power of the Internet to help solve this problem. Our site allows doctors to showcase their special talents and help patients find them quickly, easily and at no cost to you, the patient. We wanted a web site where patients could find doctors in their neighborhoods, doctors who take their insurance, doctors who perform special procedures, and doctors who speak their languages. And, we wanted doctors to have a way to communicate with their patients quickly and confidentially.
So we designed an interactive web site to do that. Patients can research doctors. Doctors and their staff can communicate with patients to remind them of appointments, update them on the latest health news, introduce them to new office locations, partners or technologies. FindTheBestDoctors.com helps new doctors establish themselves in the community and reach the patients who need them.
Patients can search for the doctor they need by health plan, zip code, name or specialty. They can search using key words or phrases they know, like "sore throat" or "pregnancy". Once they find a doctor, they can click on their picture to get all kinds of information about the services the doctor provides. More importantly, the patient can get to know the human side of the doctor by reading about their interests and their bedside manner. They can choose a man or a woman physician if that is important to them. And, with a few clicks of the mouse, a patient can print a map to their office.
